I am making a website and want to use my own pics instead of all the stupid templates that the hosts offer. Anyone know how to build the site and just transfer it to a web host?

Yes.





Usually, these web hosts grant you FTP access (file transfer protocol) which you can just go to in either your web browser or a file window, and the remote folder will appear just like any other folder. You can cut, copy, paste, delete just like with normal files.





To actually make a website, you'll need to write it yourself, use a program that creates them for you, find a friend to do it for you, or find someone like me and pay him or her to do it.





Also, if you want a site that lets people register, or chat, or anything tricky like that, you'll want a webhost that offers some decent server-side scripting and possibly a database.

Reply:as mention before by one of the friend you get ftp file transfer using that you can replace all code as per ur requirment.





if you dont want to touch the code but only replace the images which you have created then replace the name with the existing one.

Reply:In the industry, that's called "slicing", basically taking an image from PhotoShop, ImageReady, Fireworks, etc and dividing the image up and placing it in CSS/HTML.
