I was wondering if anyone knowns any good free website hosts.
I have a freewebs account but I don't like how the URL is set up: "freewebs.com/your-web-site-name"
I was looking for a web host that has its URL set up like so: "your-web-site-name.webhost.com".
Does anyone know of anything like that?
Suggestions? Website hosting. URL Issue?
Bravenet.com is set up like that, I believe.

www.addr.com has a relatively inexpensive plan.
Your url would be youyouyou@addr.com
Check out their web page for plans. I think they have 2 or 3 plans depending on what you need.
They have very good support also.

Reply:I use 50webs for my webhostings and they do offer such url format as one of the many choices. Your URL would be http://yoururl.50webs.com
There are other choices/formats for you to choose, take a quick browse at http://www.50webs.com to see ^_^
Reply:If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don't go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work. Free web hosts usually put advertisements on your websites and it could be annoying.
If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months' time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.
I would like to suggest following webhosting which I use, they are excellent.
Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukend...
They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 300000 MB (300 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer "a free Domain Name" and installing service called "Fantastico". By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer "Free Website Builder" as well.
Visit the site to check details.

Reply:Free web hosting will not give you the professional touch that you shall be looking forward to having so that you have good returns on your products....once a visitor logs in all of a sudden pop up crop up with all sorts of nonsense Ads...and then half of your page is filled up with banner ads and sponsored link and urls....what you get is extended domain name and a pity space...if you are really serious about expanding go for shared hosting initially and if you click in a big way you can always go for dedicated hosting....just visit http://rightwebhosting.blogspot.com/ may be you can get more information about the host that you are looking for....
